Monday, Dec 2 - BBQ and Football

Mat Garretson would be proud. I headed up to Big Daddy's Smokehouse for some que, beer, and football. My old college team, the Georgia Bulldogs were playing in the Sugar Bowl. I grab a seat at the bar, and order up a pulled pork sandwich, coleslaw, and fries. Also, Big Daddy's IPA on tap.

The sandwich was served on a po boy roll as opposed to the onion roll I got last time. I think I like the onion roll better. Juicy, tender pork. Coleslaw was the same as last time, pretty good but not great. The big letdown was the fries. Are fries that hard to cook? These looked like they were right out of a bag in the freezer, and fried only once. Limp, pale, bland, and boring. It's really unfortunate. Big Daddy, please work on your fries!!

UGA lost the game after a mighty comeback attempt.

You have inspired me. I'm getting a pulled pork sandwich tonight.

Have you had them at the Delta Cafe? So delicious, and perfectly spicy, with that awesome side of greens or mac and cheese or slaw or ....
