Saturday Nov 5, 2005 - Sandwich, pt. 2

C.G. and S.F. headed up to NoPo. We failed to make garlic and chorizo soup, as planned. Instead, we got take-out po-boys from Roux's Bon Temps deli. Back at Casa Hungry Thom, we lit a fire in the fireplace, threw on some tunes (Lambchop's 'Is A Woman' and Grandaddy's 'Sumday'), and proceeded to chow. After finishing our food (there was also potato leek soup, mashed potatoes, and cole slaw), we cozied up to the fire and did some reading. C.G. read the new issue of Chow, S.F. ready last week's Oregonian "Food Day," and Hungry Thom is reading Garbage Land. Fascinating reading. C.G. is still a little sick, so the two of them headed home 'round 6.
