Thursday Nov 3, 2005 - Coffee
I find it difficult to cook in a messy or dirty kitchen. I left the pots and pans from last night's dinner in the sink, and therefore found it difficult to make toast. Sounds crazy, I know. Plus, I am out of coffee beans, so there was even less of a draw to stay home.I headed into Stumptown on 3rd. Got a large coffee to go, and a half pound of beans. Here is what the Stumptown page has to say about my coffee...
"Guatemala Finca el Injerto
Since 1905, Finca El Injerto has produced exceptional coffee with a commitment to respecting and preserving the natural resources of the Huehuetenango region of northern Guatemala. Arturo Auguirre owns and operates the farm with the help of his son. The majority of the hectares of Fince el Injerto are a natural preserve that surrounds and protects the coffee plantation. You all remember this coffee from last year. It’s back and as nice as Arturo’s previous crop. The cup is a little softer than last year; however, flavors of milk chocolate, allspice, and dried fruit are all still found in this tough little rig. Viva El Injerto!"
