Sunday Nov 6, 2005 - Steak and Rice

No lunch today. Had a late breakfast and early dinner.

Around 2, I whipped up a marinade for my steak. Ginger, garlic, and lime. A little salt, pepper, and oil too. Threw it into the fridge for a few hours.

Second, I prepared a ginger/peanut sauce. Normally just a peanut sauce, I added some extra fresh ginger this time around. A bit of red pepper for some heat. Also, peanut butter, sesame oil, honey, and water.

Around 5, I threw some jasmine rice into some water and then onto the stove. I heated up a pan for the steak. A little pan searing for the meat, some boilin' for the rice.

Plated up the garnishes of cucumber and lime, and then assembled the meal. Eaten with Lagunitas "Censored" Copper Ale. By the way, anyone know what the word beneath the Censored bar is? I've always wondered.

Later tonight? The Simpsons 'Treehouse of Terror' and a bosc pear.

Alma is about to get a bowl of beef. No early dinner for her.
