Monday, Nov 28 - Aussie Dinner
I am so behind on posting my meals. These will unfortunately be short...The staff at work was invited over to our Australian importer's house for dinner. Sounded like a good plan. Apps were Parmesan cheese shortbreads, cheese, and pears. 1st course was crab cakes and a lovely little salad with lemon vinaigrette. 2nd course was lamb shank with polenta and gravy. Dessert was blue cheese with honey and pears. Wines were 2005 Primo Estate Mermaids Muscadelle, 2004 Rocky Gully Riesling, 2004 Pikes Riesling, 2004 Colonial Estate Chardonnay, 2004 Colonial Estate Semillion, 2001 Mount Horrocks Shiraz, 2004 Colonial Estate Grenache/Shiraz/Mourvedre, 2004 Colonial Estate Shiraz, and 2003 Hewtison Shiraz "The Mad Hatter."
